Safeguarding
Alde River recognises that the welfare of children, young people, vulnerable adults and adults at risk is paramount and that we have a duty of care.
Safeguarding Information
The Alde River Benefice group of Parishes is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Safeguarding Officers (Elaine Hawes, Benhall – 07796 687252 and Miranda Barclay, Blaxhall – 07958 780880).
Our Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer who advises our Safeguarding Officers.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact either Elaine or Miranda above or the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, Karen Galloway – 07785 621319 or safeguarding@cofesuffolk.org
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the Police calling 999.
If you are a child and you want to talk to someone about something that’s happening to you that you don’t like, visit Childline or call 0800 1111.
If you are an adult and need assistance you can contact Suffolk’s County Council Social Care Services on 0800 917 1109.
